Lil Blue Boo / Dharma Trading Design Challenge

Here are three Lil Blue Boo patterns I made. They turned out to be pretty easy to make. I used fabric dye on white T-shirts I got from the Goodwill by the pound. I also found some very cute fabric from the $1.50 section in Wal-Mart. I used fabric paint to write on them. The orange dress says two on it in glitter paint. It is a little hard to read, but I really like the look of it and Brez will be two in a couple days so it’s a perfect party dress.

Pants Pants Pants!!!!

I  got a pattern for the Pink Fig Bella pants a month or so ago and thursday I got the nerve to try it out. I ask my mom if she had any jeans she didnt want anymore and she gave me a bunch of old pants she had but didnt use. I also have been collecting fabric from Goodwill when the price is right.  Here is what I came up with.

This the first pair I atempted to track my progress with pictures but the camera battery died after a couple photos.

Today

Today I went to the sewing machine shop in Salem to see what is wrong with my machine. When I sew fast or sew zigzag my thread breaks a lot. So after weeks of this driving me nuts I broke down and ask the professionals. You know what they told me? Don't use thread bought from Goodwill! Lmao apparently old thread can break. Dork ;-P


I hope this is actually the problem though and not something worse. We will see I have other thread I bought from eBay that I use more but he says even that thread not the best. He suggested only using the expensive thread from sewing shops. Crap

Car seat cover experiment done:-)

So I really wanted to make a car seat cover for Brezlin's Evenflow car seat. I got a pattern from Walmart and used some sweater material I got from Goodwill. I didn't want to go buy nice fabric the first time without knowing if I could make it. Not bad for my first try but not the best. I already got new fabric to make a nice one. It didn't end up fitting the Evenflow car seat but it does fit the other one we have. So what do you think? Remember its my first time Ever making one.

Baileys Pony's

I made this for bailey, Michelle's daughter. It is a very late Christmass gift. I had many issues while making it too. I broke my needle, some gross stuff came off my sewing foot, and one square is wankie for some reason. But here it is and I hope she likes it.

Last Sundays Project- Leg warmers

I started with knee high socks I got from ebay for about $3 a pair.

I cut above the heel, then cut a chunk from between the heel and toe.

Then I folded the chunk I cut in half, and slid it over the end of the sock at the open end. Sew is and its done!

I found a youtube video showing me how to do this. Its really easy to do and takes very little time.
